From her first album, All The Good times, to her latest, Freedom, Alice Stuart's music has always be that of a true artist

Her 2007 release, Freedom, is a perfect example of this tradition of excellence.
On Freedom, Alice shares the tracks with her current band, The Formerlys. But it Freedom the title track which is the hallmark of this CD. While a personal song about Alice's beginnings as a recording artist, it is also a song for every single mom working and trying to care for her children (and at the end almost a political statement about Freedom, in general).
The CD is a genre breaking one and includes a Bob Dylan cover, a Johnny Cash cover, and for the first time an instrumental song, Sophia. There is an element of ska here as well in two of the tracks

Freedom is more like music than anything elese and for the true Alice Stuart fan is a departure from the expected, while maintaining the expected quality from this veteran artist.
