Aria Pro II Laser Electric Heritage - 3 months ago
Purchase year : 2003 Price paid : 60 GBP (used)

I've had my Aria Pro II Laser Electric (classic) for about 5 years now.
I paid the bargain price of £60 for it from a second hand shop, it felt quite good considering this guitar was made circa 1985 and has lived through the metal, grunge, ratm and nu-metal scenes, it has probably had a thrashing most of it's life.
After new strings and my humble attempts at playing it I think it sounds like a great little guitar, my only gripe is that the pickups could do with more clout, a relatively simple job to replace them but I want to keep it original as I also have other guitars.
I think it feels nicer, both in quality and to play, than my Squire Strat. Some time during the 80's it was made in the Matsumoku factory in Japan, who also made Westones, the factory did a good job of putting them together. The electrics are still fully operational and have required no work, the coil tap and pickup selector also feel like new so the quality of the components was probably quite good for a guitar of this type.
If you see one for sale why not pick it up and have a play, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
