the display on this machine is one of the best i have seen. it displays the whole pattern in one grid on screen. shame there's no backlight.
the sounds are great, and can be modified easily as the electronics is only simple. even if you know nothing about electronics you can open it up and get some really weird effects by touching the solder side of the analogue board. Beware the screen though, it can come off if you knock it and its a nightmare to fix back on.
it sort of sounds like a TR-606 except there are no toms. however the clap sound (the 606 doesn't have one) more than makes up for this - it is a really beefy reverberant sound unlike any other analogue drum clap i have heard.
Also like the 606 it distorts easily at loud volumes, which may or may not be to your taste.
