I've had mine since 1991 [new]. A great stand alone 24 trk.seqencer/mater midi controller. Never had a problem that a restart would'nt fix. Lots of editing functions; cut, past, qantify, copy. Only 31 voice polyphony but it will control outboard sound modules.
The SD1 cannot send bank change messages. there are work arounds but this is a problem when controling modern sound modules.
If you just want to record song tracks on a single device, this is still a great buy - if you can find one!
