I picked up my Epiphone Expert 6 about 4 years ago in a Pawn Shop in Abilene, Texas. I have enjoyed playing it. For a 6 string it has a thin neck and it is neck through (not bolt on) with solid, quiet pre-amp and sound. I have been looking for some documentation on it which has been almost impossible to find!! I am guessing that they did not make a lot of these. I might add that these were made in the Samick Plant in Korea and mine was made in 1994 which is earlier than one review thought they were made.

I Love my Epi Expert 6. Great action and a nice warm tone with lots of sustain. I found it in a music store in Berkley, Mi. in 1999. It originally listed at $999, but was priced at $499 because it hung on the wall for two years. I had exactly $500 on me and I talked them into selling it to me for that with no tax...and never looked back.
It has quiet pick-ups and a warm natural tone that make it great for the studio.
Awesome Bass! Another good product that Epi let go.
