This is the model I've been using for a number of years. It's a good, versatile instrument. I use it primarily as an unamplified acoustic, but have plugged in on occasion for larger gatherings and the battery-less pick up works very well, enabling me to adjust the volume and tone for the size of the venue as well as for what I'm using the guitar for. I've never felt the tone was particularly warm (compared to some other, much more expensive guitars that I've played), but a couple of buddies of mine (who are much better guitar players than I am) really like this guitar and will sometimes borrow it for gigs they're doing. I'm more of a singer than a guitar player and find the Ibanez AE300 works just fine to accompany myself or when I play with others. The case -- mine is very similar to the one shown in the picture -- is really sturdy and offers exceptional protection. That's something I really value, as I wound up buying my Ibanez (second hand) to replace a guitar I'd been using for years that was badly damaged in an accident.
