Ibanez EDR 260
It's made of Ergodyne , not a heavy weight(what is nice). '99/'00 I believe.
H-S-S config, tremelo and maple neck. tone and volume knobs.
the looks are great. Like a "JS" rounded body with a beautifull finish.
string through with trem. A 5 way selector gives a wide range of sounds.
the neck plays verry well, fast and easy.
Sound : 9
This guitar realy suites my style.
This is a Rock guitar and you should use it for that.
I use this with a Marshall mode four stack and a Boss GT-6 in the effctloop and it worksout realy well.
I play rock and metal and the EDR 260 is made for that.
The bridge PU gives you a realy great high gain tone.
use this with good distortion/overdrive and you don't need anything else. the neck PU is verry nice for the blues kind a stuff and
the midle one is realy nice for the warm clean parts.(realy noisy with overdrive/distortion.)
Stock PU's can always do better, but these are not that bad at all.
there's a lot of variety in sounds. It's a rich sound but not always that bright.
this guitar makes you wanna rock your brains out and that is exactly what it does.
This is a great guitar!
Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
I've had to change the action it was setup to high, but no problem was fixed real quick.
no flaws, nothing. PU's were well adjusted.
nice finish overall
verry well.

Reliability/Durability : 8

This thing won't break. the ergodyne body is realy solid material.
Because of the material i asked the guy from the musicstore if I could use normal guitar(wood) polish to clean the body,... he told me that i could throw the hole body in to the washmachine in matter of speaking ,no problem... the hardware will last.
You can definitly rely on this guitar.
Never gig without backup! even when you're playing a one-hundred-thousend-dollar guitar, always use backup.

Overall Rating : 8

I've been playing for 10 years now, played and gigged in/with a lot of bands and used a lot of gear.
For a 300 euro(used)/500 euro(new) guitar it's a truly great deal.
It's strong, Verry Good looking and a great playing guitar.
My gear:
Ibanez EDR 260, Ibanez RG 321, squier strat.
Yamaha RBX370 bass and Yamaha CPX 700 semi acoustic.
amps: Marshall mode four stack and Vox AD 30 vt.
effects: Boss GT-6 and Korg AX1500G.
If this guitar were stolen I might buy it again
but there is so much more to explore...
So if you play Rock music, The EDR 260 is a realy good investment.
