Ibanez Talman TC630
Solid-body similar to Fender Mustang with three single coil lipstick pickups. Early models had Resonite bodies.

1. Ibanez Talman TC630 - 1 year ago
Purchase year : 1999 Price paid : 200 USD (used) Rating : Hey I have the dual Humbuker version of this guitar and I get a hum like it as a bad ground but all appears fine inside the guitar. Any ideas out there as to why? I would really like to fix this even if it cost a bit.
2. Ibanez Talman TC630 - 2 years ago
Purchase year : 2006 Price paid : 250 USD (used) Rating : My first TC630 was stolen. I've since located and cleaned up two more, as well as a TC620, so you might say I have an appreciation for this guitar, which Ibanez offered from 1994 to 1999. What appealed to me initially was its body shape, which is more graceful than the Fender Mustang that inspired it, and the tilt-back headstock with its straight string-pull. The neck dimensions are virtually identical to my 2005 American Strat. The Resoncast body (made of wood fiber and resin, similar to MDF) has nice sustain. My Korean-made TC620 (dual humbuckers) has an alder body, and since all these Talmans have a heavy, durable paint, you wouldn't expect this much resonance. The three single coil lipstick pickups have a bright, zingy attack that I really like. I've owned two 60's-era Danelectros with the original lipstick pickups, and the Ibanez pickups are as good or better, and they're on a much better-made guitar.
