I bought this piano nearly 10 years ago as it is so light. It is 16kg. It is slightly too long for my saloon car (it does go in, but only balanced on one door handle) so I have been on the lookout ever since for a shorter (and possibly even lighter) piano. 9 years on, and no one has invented one as far as I can tell! It is still the best.

I love the P30. It's done exactly what I want for the last decade or so. Piano, piano and piano. It's received an beating and has been taken everywhere with no flightcase and is still in perfect working order. Wish Technics were still made. I agree with the high notes being weaker but otherwise a great sound and feel. Bargain.

well as you can see this site likes to take my videos of me playing it on youtube. it is a really great piano. i love it a lot and i never have played a piano so affordable with such great sound. it has two official sounds. Grand piano and electric piano. there is also a hidden Rhodes sound. to get this you must switch the piano over to electric piano and turn the piano off. then hold down the highest key on the keyboard and turn it back on. you will now have a Rhodes sound. there is one more sound that is hidden as well. hold down the two e flat keys in the middle of the keyboard and turn it on. the sound is a flat tone.there are midi cable ports on the piano and it also has hookups for headphones or speakers. it weighs about 40 pounds and it is built like a rock. i haven't ever had trouble with it. the keys are the same size and weight as a grand piano and the action i find is as close to real as real can get. i love this piano and would recommend it to everyone but technics stopped producing them. if you come across one i would definitely pick it up. i payed $150 US dollars for mine from a lady who wanted it gone since ex-husband didn't take it with him.

Asuming 5 is good!
This keyboard is not pretenious. It's an electric (grand) piano. Super portable. Super easy.. Plug & Play. I got mine from E-Bay for 530US$. I bought it so to say..blind,that is I didn't test play or anything. But after playing it I thought ..there are probably better e-pianos out there. Meanwhile I've played around a bit and this is really pretty good, especially considering the cost and low opinion of the cognoscenti. The sound likewise.. ok it's pretty subjective, but I prefer a bright clean crisp sound (like the Steinway)so many of the others. while quite mellifluous in tone quality seemed dampered and lacked punch.
I find the extreme high keys of the P30 to be the weakest in clarity and punch, while the middle lows the loudest and for this reason the piano lacks balance.
Still I've played many gigs with it now and it's sturdy reliable and I think I'd be hard pressed to replace it as economically as I attained it. All you naysayers..take the pepsi challenge, blindfold test or wahtever you'll be convinced this is no budget sacrifice instrument!
